The Nörgelbuff is a small live club located in the heart of Göttingen’s city center. Just a two-minute walk from the Gänseliesel statue, we are easily accessible from all directions and by all means of transport. Nearby bus stops include Groner Straße, Markt, and Kornmarkt. There are also plenty of bike racks for securely locking your bike.
The basement venue offers seating for 80 people and can hold up to 120 guests without seats. For over 50 years, the Nörgelbuff has provided a cultural program that reaches beyond Göttingen. Its unique atmosphere is shaped by its historic fieldstone walls and wooden parquet floors—and made unforgettable by its guests.
Please note that due to its architectural structure, the Nörgelbuff is not wheelchair accessible. Please note that the Nörgelbuff has a few steps inside and is located in a basement, accessible only by stairs.
As a live club, we open our doors only on days when events take place – usually, about half an hour before the event starts. We close one to two hours after the concert ends.

The Nörgelbuff House Band Funk, soul, blues & jazz – a true Göttingen all-star club band: They regularly perform with top-notch guest musicians such as Chris Jones, Sascha Münnich, Sam White, and many more. |
Every 1st Monday of the month |

QuerBeat (Session) The QuerBeat band kicks off the evening with a short set after which the stage is open for a jam session. Instrumentalists and vocalists are welcome to join in! A full backline is provided (guitar amps, bass amp, keyboard, drums). |

In addition, we host the Get Down vinyl party series approximately once a quarter, Christiane Eiben’s talent showcase Milchbar for young artists/talents, the improv comedy show Improsant, and the open mic reading night SprachlabOhr.

Where you can find us
The Nörgelbuff is located in a historical basement from the 14th century in Göttingen's city centre. It is only a two minute walk to the Gänseliesel statue in front of the Old Town Hall.
